There have been good ones too- movements to overthrow colonial powers have certainly benefited nations. However, movements to overthrow corrupt/autocratic dictators have often resulted in the rise of yet another dictator.
This piece was more about the characteristics of the deadly kinds that cleverly infect the minds of the frustrated. When you see those signs in a movement, you know where it might be headed.
